Electrolysis Permanent Hair Removal In Jacksonville Florida

Permanently remove unwanted hair with electrolysis the only FDA-approved method for permanent hair removal. This treatment uses a fine probe and low-level electrical current to target the hair follicle directly, preventing regrowth over time.

Appointments are offered in 15-minute increments, allowing flexibility based on your treatment area and hair growth. Whether you're focusing on small facial areas or working toward long-term hair removal goals, electrolysis provides safe, precise, and lasting results for all skin tones and hair types.

ELectrolysis Contraindications

Contraindications are conditions or situations that may prevent electrolysis from being performed safely, require medical clearance, or need treatment modifications.

Electrolysis cannot be performed in these cases

Pacemaker or implanted electrical device (unless written physician clearance is provided)
Active skin infections in the treatment area (bacterial, viral, or fungal)
Open wounds, cuts, or broken skin at the treatment site
Active herpes simplex outbreak (cold sores) in the area being treated
Severe skin inflammation (weeping dermatitis, severe eczema flare)
Currently taking Accutane ( need to wait 6-12months after completed)

Treatment must be postponed until resolved

Recent chemical peel, microneedling, or laser treatment in the area
Recent surgery in or near the treatment area
Recent Botox or dermal fillers near area being treated (wait 4-5 days )
Severe bruising or swelling

Medical Clearance Required

Pregnancy (electrolysis is generally avoided on the abdomen and breast area) will not treat starting the 3rd trimester.
Diabetes (if poorly controlled)
Autoimmune disorders affecting skin healing
Blood clotting disorders or use of blood thinners
Epilepsy or seizure disorders
Heart conditions (even without a pacemaker)
Compromised immune system

Must be disclosed before treatment

Isotretinoin (Accutane) or recent use ( need to wait 6-12months after Accutane is completed to being electrolysis)
Topical or oral retinoids
Steroids (oral or topical in treatment area)
Blood thinners
Certain antibiotics (may increase sensitivity)
Hormonal medications

Electrolysis appointment preparation

No waxing, tweezing, threading, epilators, or depilatory creams
Shaving or trimming only
NO numbing cream for your first treatment. We need to get an idea of your tolerance, and you may not need it at all. Since most clients dont use it.
Hair must be long enough to treat
Ideal length: a grain of rice
Avoid shaving 3–7 days before your visit
No makeup, lotion, oils, sunscreen, or deodorant on the area
Drink plenty of water 24–48 hours before treatment, the day of and the day after.
No retinoids, exfoliating acids, benzoyl peroxide, or scrubs for 5–7 days prior
Inform your Electrologist of medications, hormones, antibiotics, pregnancy, or recent cosmetic treatments

Produtcs to use post treatment

Aloe Gel or the aloe plant
Diaper rash cream with Zinc in it, helps with inflammation
ICE reduces puffiness and redness
Arnica cream
Witch hazel/ diluted Tea Tree oil
Hydrochloric Acid Spray

Gently cleanse with a mild, fragrance‑free cleanser
Cool compresses may be used briefly if swelling is present
No hot showers, saunas, steam rooms, hot yoga, or intense workouts
Avoid scratching, rubbing, or picking at the area
Do not pop whiteheads or pick scabs
